Chamonix offers an abundance of great & highly varied restaurants. My nugget of advice would be to avoid the very convenient “tourist traps” in the heart of the town centre.

Casino (Place Balmat). 8€50 three course buffet lunch menu . Invariably very good & the best value in town. Fills up rapidly (be there before 12h). ID required & presumeably no under 18 yrs.
